How to play

Game Goal:
Take on the role of Wolverine years before he joined the X-Men, and bring down mighty Stryker's secret diabolical plans. Escape from the Weapon X laboratory while fighting an army of soldiers, maneuvering around security systems and taking on the deadliest mutants from Wolverine's past. Upgrade Wolverine's powers by collecting mutagens, and strike the right balance between increased strength and healing.

Starting the Game:

1. On your phone's Games Menu, select "Wolverine"
2. Press "Select" or the "OK" key.
3. Choose on/off to play with or without sound.
4. After the splash screens, make your selection from the Main Menu.

Main Menu:

• Play: Continue a game in progress, or start a New Game or select a specific level to play.
• Options: Toggle vibration, sound, and tutorials. Change language.
• Help: View detailed instructions and information on how to play the game.
• About: View copyright and customer service information.
• More Games: Information about more great EA Mobile games.
• Exit: Exit to your phone's menu.

Power Ups:

• Mutagens - Can be collected by destroying crates or by executing special moves onto mutant enemies. Mutagens help in enhancing the strength and the healing factor.
• Gene-Xs - These collectibles help in unlocking new moves.

Losing a Life:
If you die during the game or run out of time, you will resume from the last checkpoint. In order to continue through the story, you will need complete the level you are currently playing.

Losing the Game:
You cannot lose the game. The game offers unlimited number of lives. But you must make a real effort in order to win the game and complete the story.

Winning the Game:
The game sports 9 levels spanned across three locations from the X-Men Origins: Wolverine storyline:

• Tutorial
• Berserker
• Escape from Alkali Lake
• Old Friends
• Three Mile Island
• The Breach
• Sibling Rivalry
• Mutant Liberation
• Deadpool

The game ends when Weapon X (Wolverine) has a showdown with Weapon XI (Deadpool), after rescuing all the mutant prisoners.

Auto Save:
The game will auto save following the completion of each level. This level will be available for replay from the Level Select screen.

Check Point Save:
There are several checkpoints within each level. If you die during a level, you will respawn at the nearest checkpoint reached.

Tips and Hints

• While fighting, grab hold of the soldier using the direction key and press 5 for a fatal blow.
• While combating a boss enemy, throw him off balance by defending or avoiding an attack and then immediately counter attack.
• Execute special attacks onto boss enemies to retard their healing speed.
• Healing factor enhances recovery speed while strength affects damage infliction.
• When surrounded by enemies, using the defend move can prove very effective.
• Before jumping into a fight, it is better to let the health recharge to maximum.
• Quickly change postures while approaching a designated marksman to avoid being shot at.

Q. How do I enhance the strength or healing speed of my playable character?
A. Mutagens collected during a level can be redeemed to increase health and/or strength. An attribute enhancement screen, which is displayed after successfully completing a level, allows the player to manually up these attributes as per his requirement.

Q. How do I keep a count of the mutants rescued?
A. The mutant rescue bar at the bottom of the screen will display the icons of mutants rescued.

Q. How do I access the Help Section?
A. Highlight "Help" in the Main Menu and press ''OK'' to access the Help Section. While in-game, you can also find the Help Section in the Pause Menu.

Q. How do I save game progess?
A. Game progress is saved automatically as you complete each level.

Q. How do I win the game?
A. You win the game after defeating Deadpool in the final showdown.
