Game Goal Surviving High School: New Rules is a text and menu-driven game. Re-live your high school experience the way you want it! Find true love, re-kindle a lost love, or challenge your rival to an all out insult battle! Anything is possible at Centerscore High!
Starting the game: First, highlight the "Surviving High School: New Rules" icon in the game menu on your phone. Once the game is highlighted, press the "OK" button to start the game. After the splash screens, the game's main menu will appear.
Main Menu - Resume: Allow the user to continue their saved game. This option only appears when user has a saved game.
- New Game: Allows the user to choose an episode to play.
- Episodes: Allows the user to download new episodes or delete stored episodes.
- Get More EA Games: Informs the user where more EA games can be purchased.
- Sound (On/Off): Toggles the sound setting on or off.
- Help: Tutorials on the following areas of the game: Instructions, Controls, and Download.
- About: Customer support information and Legal Information.
- Quit: The selection will exit the game and return the user to the phone's menu.

- Scroll left 1 page in a paged menu.
- Rotate selection counter-clockwise during portrait selection or during mini-games when the selection arrows are lit.
Right
- Scroll right 1 page in a paged menu.
- Rotate selection clockwise during portrait selection or during mini-games when the selection arrows are lit.
OK/Left soft key
- Advance text on dialogs.
- Select a menu option.
- Select items in certain mini-games.
- Proceed to next screen.
- Finalize entry in text entry menu
Number Keys
- Use 2-9 to enter characters into text entry menu.
- Use 1-6 to make selections in certain mini-games.
- In all other cases, the keys 2, 4, 6, 8, and 5 have the same function as the up, left, right, down, and ok/left soft key respectively.
CLR key/Right soft key
- Pause Game.
- Go back to previous menu.
- Erase in text entry menu.
