Need For Speed Undercover

How to play

Game Goal: Chase or Be Chased in Need for Speed Undercover. The cops are back like never before in this game of pursuit and betrayal. Fill your garage with the world's fastest cars. Show your skills for a shot at top drivers. Choose Career or Quick Race mode.

Starting the game:
Highlight "Need for Speed Undercover" in the games menu on your phone, and press "Select" (or "OK" on the D-Pad) to start. You are prompted to choose sound either on or off. After you make your selection, the EA and Need for Speed Undercover splash screens appear followed by the Main Menu.

Main Menu:

• Quick Race - instant racing action! Play career mode to unlock more cars and events!
• Continue Career - continues your NFS Undercover career (only available once a career has been started)
• New Career - start a new career to unlock more cars and events
• Options - allows you to enable/disable Sounds, Vibration and Car Markers (HUD element). Also gives quick access to Tutorial.
• Help - view detailed instructions and tips on how to play the game
• About - contains copyright and customer service information
• Exit - return to your PhoneOS

Auto-Acceleration:
Your car will continuously accelerate towards its top-speed without any input.

Drift and Speedbreaker:
In corners press OK/5 to initiate a drift. Keep the meter in the center by counter-steering and rack up Style Points!

On straightaways pressing OK/5 will start the Speedbreaker. Use it to dodge traffic in intersections or get out of tight spots.

Upgrades:
Through the Career Garage you can buy upgrades for any car in 4 categories: Top Speed, Acceleration, Handling and Nitrous

New Cars:
New cars can be found in the Career Garage. Make money in career mode to buy better rides. Progress through the story to gain access to even more cars! Anything you purchase will become available in Quick Race.

AutoSave:
The game will autosave following the completion of any race or when you purchase upgrades and new cars.

Tips and Hints

• Slipstream behind opponents to gain extra speed and slingshot past them!
• The icon in the HUD will help you determine if pressing OK/5 will cause a Speedbreaker or Drift
• More Style Points means more money at the end of a race!
• Use Speedbreaker to dodge cross-traffic in intersections
• Watch out for civilian cars or use them to slow-down opponents and the police

FAQ

How do I unlock more races?
Play through the Career Mode. As you unlock additional sectors those races will become available in Quick Race.

How do I get more cars?
Play Career Mode to make money and purchase newer rides. Anything you buy in Career Mode will be available in Quick Race.

I have the fastest car currently available and I'm still not beating the CPU?
Upgrade your car in the Garage. There are four tiers of upgrades available in each of the categories: Top Speed, Acceleration, Handling and Nitrous

How do I get away from the cops?
You can either total their cruiser or try to run away. To total the cruiser, smash into it with your own car or traffic on the road. To escape, use your boost once the cop has slowed down to avoid civilian traffic.
