Game Rules
Clues are past statements relating to the moment of the crime.
Suspects always tell the truth and will not mislead you.
Suspects are cleared if you discover they were unarmed.
Suspects may have moved around the house since the murder. The room where you find them is not necessarily where they were at the time of the crime.
You can find out where a Suspect was during the crime by looking for their belongings... or another Suspect could just tell you.
There is only one possible Weapon and/or one possible Suspect per Room.
Suspects know about each other's secrets and arguments. Use these secrets to confront the Suspects and gather important clues.
Pay attention to key words and search for any object mentioned in your Notes.
Terms such as "directly North/South/East/West" mean the Suspects or Weapons were in adjacent rooms that share a wall or parts of a wall.
"Across the hall" means that the Suspects or Weapons were in rooms separated by a hallway.
Blunt weapons are the Candlestick, the Trophy and the Crowbar.
Sharp weapons are the Knife and the Axe.
Other weapons include the Pistol, the Rope, the Gloves and the Poison.
Blunt weapons, sharp weapons and the Pistol can all leave traces of blood.
The Poison is the only weapon that does not leave any trace.
Scoring
When you make correct accusations, you can gain up to 3 stars.
If you make your accusation within the time limit set by Braunman, you gain an extra star.
Q: What is CLUE?
A: CLUE mobile is a deduction game based on the classic board game. You play a promising young reporter who is tasked with deducing who murdered Mr. Boddy, with what weapon and in what room of the house.
Q: Who are the characters in CLUE?
A: There are six original CLUE characters you'll meet in CLUE: White; the bitter young wanna-be; Peacock, the conniving heiress; Scarlet, the vixen starlet; Plum, the self-serving intellectual; Green, the smooth-talking entrepreneur and Mustard, the brash adventurer.
Each of these personalities is hiding something and it's up to you to get them to talk. Uncovering their secrets may be the key to solving the mystery...
Q: How can I play a game of CLUE?
A: Once you've successfully completed the tutorial, you can choose from several different assignments in the Play!-Mode. Three timely and successful story submissions will get you a promotion, opening up new assignments which may be played in any order!
Q: Where do I find clues?
A: You will find clues in several ways in the game. By talking to suspects, you'll receive hints as to their location at the time of the murder. They may also suggest that you search specific areas in the mansion or tell you secrets about the others. Pay attention to words that are highlighted, as they provide essential information.
Once your investigation is underway, suspects will start feeling the pressure, and may try to deflect attention from themselves by revealing secrets about other suspects. Visit suspects again if you gather more information about them.
Q: I can't seem to remember the clues; can I go back and see them?
A: Of course! By accessing the Notes, you find all previously clues collected, including secrets, stored for quick reference.
What's more, the Crime Map and Suspicions will prove vital to keeping track of all your clues. In order to stay on top of your investigation, log the info as you gather each clue.
Q: I found the solution! But how do I finish a game?
A: Quite simply, Braumann is a call away! By opening the Action Pad (pressing the Fire key), you can call your Editor, by selecting "Editor" on the Action Pad and submit your accusation. Then you'll be graded on the accuracy of your story.
Q: I'm nearly out of time, but I still don't have all the clues, what can I do?
A: Don't worry, Braumann isn't unreasonable and may give you a Time Extension. Unfortunately, if you are still not ready once the time extension is used up, it will be impossible to get a perfect score (4 stars) unless you restart your assignment from scratch.
Q: I'm lost and I can't seem to find the missing link to my clue. What do I do?
A: Make sure you keep your Notes up to date as you collect clues. They provide invaluable information to unraveling the puzzle. You can also always call your Editor and ask for hints.
If all else fails, you can always quit the current assignment and start a new one.
Q: How do I view my statistics?
A: Select Extras from the Main menu, and then select Statistics. You can see the percentage of your game completions; time played and average star rating.
Q: How do I unlock Character Bios, achievements and statistics?
A: Right from the start you have access to all Character Bios in the Extras section of the Main menu. You can unlock Achievements by filling out the specific requirements described in that menu.
Your Statistics can also be accessed via the Extras section in the Main menu, and are updated automatically providing a chronicle various actions, times and average scores throughout the game.
Q: How do I reset my statistics?
A: You can reset all game statistics, high scores and progress in CLUE by selecting Options from the Main menu and then select Reset Game.
Q: How do I turn the sound off?
A: Select Options from the Main menu, and then highlight Sound. Press "Ok" or the corresponding soft key to toggle the sound.
