Getting Mobile Games

Which EA products will work on my phone?
Use the "Game Finder" that is located on the right side of most of the pages of this site to select your phone or device. After selecting your device, you will see all of the games that are available.

Where do I find EA games?
EA mobile (and JAMDAT) games are available through the network services provided by wireless telecommunications carriers with whom EA has partnerships. Some carriers have a "store" on your phone's menu that allows you to purchase and download the game over the air. Other carriers require you to purchase the game on their website and then transfer the game from your computer to your phone via a data cable. The location of the games will vary depending on your wireless carrier.

See below for instructions on locating games on some of the major carriers. You can also click "Buy Now" throughout this web site to either buy games or find information on buying games for your carrier.

Can I buy games from EA's website?
Yes, if your carrier does support direct web purchasing, you can purchase directly from our website. We can either send you a text message with a link where you can buy the game, or provide instructions for buying the game on your phone.

How do I buy a game from EA's website?
Click "Buy Now" for the game you want to buy, and follow the instructions.

I've entered my mobile number on the website, but my game link hasn't arrived?
It can take up to several minutes for your game link to arrive. Make sure that your phone has Internet access and can receive messages. Also make sure that your inbox is not full.

Why do I need to have text-messaging and Internet service enabled?
If you have entered your mobile number on the website, the link to your mobile game arrives in a text message sent to your phone. After you extract the link, you need to buy and download the game over the air. If your phone isn't Internet enabled, please contact your wireless carrier and ask them to enable it.

My game link arrived, but why can't I access the Internet?
Your wireless network may be temporarily unavailable. You should wait until service is available and try again. If you still can't connect, try restarting your phone before accessing the link again.

After downloading the game, where do I find it on my phone?
Each phone stores games differently. Most phones will store the game in your Games folder. Sometimes the game is in the Applications or Downloads folder. You can get to these folders through the Main Menu on your phone.

What do I do if my download didn't seem to work?
There are many situations that can lead you to believe that your download did not work. The easiest way to check is by looking through all the Folders on your phone; the game may have downloaded to a folder that you haven't checked, such as the "Downloads" folder, the "Applications" folder, or even the "Games" folder (folder options may vary from phone to phone).

It is possible that you lost your network connection during the download process. You should be able to re-download the game to your phone without being charged a second time (check your carrier's policy first).

Lastly, it may be that you do not have enough room on your phone for another application. In this case, you will usually get a message informing you of insufficient space. You should clear some space by removing another application, a few ring tones, images, etc. before re-attempting a download.

Purchasing Mobile Games

How much does it cost to play EA games?
In addition to fees incurred to purchase a game, you may incur airtime charges for the time spent downloading the game, which usually takes a minute or two. Game features such as multiplayer may also incur charges for used airtime. Most wireless carriers bill in increments of kilobytes (KB) for data usage, not minutes. This means that you may only be billed for the data you send or receive through the network.

When purchasing a game, what's the difference between the "subscription" option and the "unlimited" or "purchase" option?
In almost every case, selecting the "subscription" option means purchasing the game on a recurring month-to-month basis (usually the lesser price). Selecting the "unlimited" or "purchase" option means a one-time payment (usually the higher price). Please note that some "unlimited" or "purchase" plans expire, meaning that the game will be terminated on your phone after a set amount of time. Please consult with your carrier's customer service team to determine the details associated with your wireless application purchase plans. Pricing options are subject to change.

How do I cancel my subscription or get a refund?
Usually, your wireless provider bills you for EA game purchases and subscriptions through your phone bill. In this case, inquiries regarding subscription termination and refunds should be directed to your carrier's customer service team. Please note that in almost all cases your subscription will not be terminated if you delete the application from your phone (see the next question for more details).

Can I cancel my subscription just by deleting the game from my phone?
No, in almost all cases your subscription will not be terminated if you delete the game from your phone. Most wireless carriers do not track game deletion, and those that do most likely do not cancel subscriptions based upon game deletion.

If I remove a game from my phone, can I re-download it without being charged again?
Yes, in many situations you can re-download games without an additional charge. This allows you to remove a game in order to make temporary room for another game. All such policies are established and supported by your wireless carrier, so please consult with your carrier's customer service team for details.

Playing Mobile Games

Can I make a phone call while playing EA games?
If your phone supports the feature, you will be able to suspend your game, make a call, and then resume your game from the point where you left off. Otherwise, you will have to quit your game before making a call. Many games will automatically save your progress when you quit.

Can I receive an incoming call while playing EA games?
Yes. The application will pause and allow you to take the call. Play can resume after your call is finished. If you are downloading a game, the incoming call will go to voicemail.

How many games can I store on my phone at one time?
The exact number will depend on your phone, the size of the games, and how many other applications you have downloaded.

Can I change the games stored on my phone?
Yes, you can add and remove games as you please. Depending on your carrier, you may be able to retrieve a "disabled" or "discarded" game, without re-purchasing it.
