SCRABBLE How to Play
Playing SCRABBLE® on your phone

In the Applications menu, find and launch SCRABBLE®.

The EA Mobile and SCRABBLE® splash screens appear first, followed by the SCRABBLE® main menu.

Once the game loads, the Main menu appears and displays the following options:

Play - Start the game.

Options - Open the Options menu. Use the D-Pad or "2" or "8" to move the cursor up and down through the list. Highlight one of the following options and press the Select soft key to change its value:

Music - Turn music on/off.

Sound - Turn in-game sound on/off.
-
Vibration - Turn game vibration on/off.
-
Tutorial - Turn tutorials on/off.
-
Word Warnings - Turn word validation warnings on/off.
-
Statistics - Open the Statistics screen. In this screen, you can view your scores and reset them.

Help - Open the Help section.
-
About - Display copyright and development information.
-
Exit Game - Exit SCRABBLE®.

After you have selected "Play" from the main menu, you will be asked to select one of these 3 play options:

VERSUS COMPUTER - Play against your phone. Once you selected this mode, you will be asked whether you want to "Resume Saved Game?" Select yes or no, using the D-Pad or "4" or "6" on your number pad to toggle between the options.

PASS 'N PLAY - Play with a friend, taking turns with the same handset.

SOLO - Test your word skills as the only player on the board.

If you have selected to "PLAY VERSUS COMPUTER," you will be presented with these options:

Game Setup - Choose one of these options:
-
Classic mode, in which you play until there are no tiles remaining.

75 points - Play until either you or the computer reaches 75 points.
-
150 points - Play until either you or the computer reaches 150 points.

8 or 12 rounds - Play 8 or 12 rounds (turns); the player with high score wins.

Duplicate - Using the D-Pad, or "6" or "4" on the number pad, toggle this either on or off. Both players get the exact same rack (7 letter tiles) to form a word. The player that comes up with the highest-scoring word gets the points, and that word is placed on the board. In case of a score tie, the longest word wins.

Difficulty - Use the D-Pad, or "6" or "4" on the number pad to toggle between Easy, Medium and Hard.
