Try to strategize pitting to happen when the rest of the cars on the track are either in the pits themselves or going slow under yellow, you will lose less track position this way.

Pick the best time to use your draft boost, look for a clear line that is not in a corner.

Other cars can be your friends or your foes, learn to use them for gaining draft boost as well as opening up lines through traffic

While in the pits, be sure to keep an eye on the amount of time you will take to accomplish each change. If the end of the race is near there is no need to fill the gas tank all the way up!

Watch those tires, as they wear down the car can get a little 'loose' on the track.

Each track has an ideal line around the entire track that is not necessarily in the same lane. Experiment with different lanes through the corners to pick up more speed.
