What's the quickest way to get right into the game?
Simply press 'OK' once the text 'Press OK to Play Now' is displayed on any of the splash screens when starting the application. This will launch you directly into a game using the default teams from the Super Bowl (Bears v. Colts).

What other game modes are there?
Madden NFL 08 features Season, Exhibition and Play Now modes. In Season mode you can play 1, 7, or 16 games to lead your team to the Super Bowl.

Can I play as any team I want?
Madden NFL 08 includes all 32 NFL teams with full rosters for each team. So you can play with any of your favorite NFL superstars.

Can I track my stats during Season mode?
Season mode ONLY track wins/loses statistics. We will expand on statistical stat tracking for future versions of Madden.

Are there different difficulty settings in the game?
Madden NFL 08 difficulty is determined by the teams you play, based on real life NFL statistics and attributes. For example, the Colts are much harder to beat than the Raiders.

Can I substitute players during the game?
Yes. Madden NFL 08 allows you to make substitutions while in game. However, the user must press the 'CLR' key to return to the front-end main menu screen. From the main menu screen, you can access the Front Office option for team substitution.

How can I complete more passes in Madden NFL 08?
To complete more passes in Madden NFL 08, throw to open receivers with icon colors of GREEN. Try to throw short to mid range passes to receiver icon color of GREEN or YELLOW. The deeper the pass; the more difficult the pass is to complete. Never throw to RED icon receivers as this will result in an interception.

How can I gain more rushing yards the in Madden NFL 08?
To gain more yards when running, use the 'OK' button to execute a variety of special moves from spins, hurdle and stiff arms to gain more yards. Press the 'OK' key when the player icon beneath the ball carrier turns GREEN. Green represents the most successful chance to evade tackles.

How can I improve my passing?
There are a few ways to passing the ball successfully in Madden NFL 08. The simplest way to pass is merely to press the pass key (5 or OK) and the ball will be passed to the teammate with a colored circle under him. The circle under the highlighted teammate indicates how open the player is, with green representing wide open and red indicating covered by the defender. For more passing options, you can utilize the Field Vision Passing feature. This is done by pressing the OK key while in possession of the ball on offense. Each teammate will be represented by a directional arrow (up, down, left, right), which will be colored red, yellow, or green to represent how open the players are. Pressing the corresponding direction will pass to that specific player.

How do I save my game progress in Madden NFL 08? Game progress is automatically saved within any game mode in the situations below. You will resume play at the end of your previous play. This means, if you're in the middle of a game during application exit, when you resume play, you will replay the play from ball snap.

Will I lose my previously saved game by starting a new game?
Yes. To start a new game will cause you to lose the previous saved game from any mode.

How do I resume play where I left off?
From the main menu, click 'Resume Game' and you will start play in any mode where you left off.

How do I call time-outs during play?
You are allowed three time-outs each half. You can ONLY call time-out before or at the end of plays. To call time out, press the '# key' at the beginning or end of plays. Calling a time-out will stop the clock. Remember, you can only call time-outs three times per half.
