JAMDAT Mini Golf How to Play

The ultimate goal in JAMDAT Mini Golf is to complete a round of 18 holes in the fewest strokes as possible. It is possible to get a hole-in-one on each hole, but it may take a bit of creativity and experimentation to figure it out. There are 4 modes of game play: Normal, 1-Player custom, 2-Player custom, and practice mode.

Normal:
This is the standard, single player mode where your progress is saved and scores are recorded.

1-Player Custom:
This mode allows you to choose how many holes you wish to play: any 3, any 6, front 9, back 9, or all 18. If you select any 3 or any 6, the holes are randomly selected. The scores are not recorded.

2-Player Custom:
This mode is exactly like 1-Player mode except that is for two players. The scores are not recorded.

Practice:
This mode allows you to practice a particular hole repeatedly. The scores are not recorded.

Statistics
There are several statistics that are tracked as you play a normal round of golf: the number of holes played, the number of hole-in-ones, the best round of 18 holes (strokes under par), and the total strokes over par.

Controls
Pan = 1-9
Aim = Direction Pad
Putt = OK
Back = CLR

To abort the hole fly-by, press ok.

To pan the camera, press the right soft key or any number key. Arrows with numbers on them will appear showing you the direction the camera can pan in. Pressing and holding that number on the keypad will move the camera in that direction. The D-pad will also allow you to simultaneously move the camera and aim. Press OK to exit the camera pan mode.

When placing the ball, use the d-pad to move the 4-way arrow around the starting block. When you are happy with position of the ball, press OK to go into aim mode.

To aim your shot, press the left or right keys on the D-pad to rotate the aim arrow left or right. Pressing the up and down keys on the d-pad will cause the arrow to flip 180 degrees. When you are happy with the aim, press OK again to go to power mode.

During power mode, a meter will appear and fill up, then empty, then repeat. A golf club shows the current power. Press OK when the meter has filled up to your desired shot power and to hit the ball.

Once the ball is in motion, you can press any key to fast forward the shot to its resting position.

Press the 0 or CLR key at any time during the positioning, aiming, or power selecting modes to go back to the previous mode.

Also, there is a 10 stroke limit per hole.
